Crossed Block Quilt Quilted

Crossed Block Quilt Quilted....try saying that with chocolate easter egg in your mouth! I finished the Crossed Block quilt top last month, and thought it would suit straight line quilting, something I have been wanting to try for a while.

This weekend's quilting effort looks like this....


and the back...


It's very satisfying to sit back and stare at a finished quilt top!


I used a Gutermann Sulky Cotton 30 wt thread, with a cream to bone variegation, and since the thread is a bit thick, I used a size 12 metallic needle, it's eye is larger than a normal size 12 needle.


Now to bind this baby!

    Your straight line quilting looks great!! It really suits the top. I'm looking forward to seeing a full shot, it's such a great quilt!
